Getting safe, sustainable PPE to those who need it most

From the beginning of the global COVID-19 crisis, we were faced with a massive shortage of PPE. We brought together a collective of designers, manufacturers and distributors working to create safe, sustainable PPE and cleaning products to meet this shortage. We raised money and received materials and resources to be able to deliver free, reusable PPE to those working in care homes, refugee centres and other vulnerable households as quickly as possible.

Now 6 months later, we have launched an innovative new business that has built on the network knowledge with the intention of manufacturing high value, circular economy products in PPE, plastics and more.  We have a flagship product developed with FinHalo Ltd and you can find out more here, Visit FinHalo.com
Global shortage, local solutions
To tackle the global PPE shortage, we provide organisational and logistical support to small-scale PPE manufacturers and distributors throughout Scotland. This enables us to create and deliver free COVID-19 care boxes to care homes, refugee centres and residential homes in need of protection.
Prioritising sustainability
To tackle the massive waste problem caused by single-use PPE, we focus on sustainable solutions, creating equipment people can clean and reuse again and again. Our Re:fuse recycling service helps us close the loop on plastic production for PPE in Scotland.  We are asking the question “what will you do with all this waste? in an open competition to dream, design, develop, make, sell and deliver….“make imagination work”.
FinHalo: the safest PPE visor
To tackle a lack of PPE that meets health and safety requirements, we created our FinHalo visor design through working with UK manufacturers allows us to closely monitor the quality of our PPE products and launch our new manufacturing business.

Recycle PPE

Fighting the single-use plastic problem.

We believe minimising the environmental harm caused by single-use plastics is a vital part of our fight against COVID-19. Each FinHalo visor we produce is part of our Re:fuse closed-circuit recycling system, a joint venture partnership with Reliable Recycling Ltd and DCB Material Recovery. We are also able to accept and recycle visors from other producers, made from PLA, ABS PETG or PETG.

Team

Our co-founders Hannah Wright, Adam Winstanley and Kris Small use their respective backgrounds in architecture, technology, logistics and creative enterprise to work alongside NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, giving focus and direction to PPE production efforts and connecting them with other resources worldwide.
